Jake Kennedy, aka Butternut Collage, uses source materials from the 1950s to the 80s along with a range of tools including knives and household appliances. He’s also keen to increase his use of the natural causes of paper deterioration such as bright sunlight, water stains, and even mould.
He has exhibited around the world and made record and magazine covers and clothing and band posters. He joined Instagram in 2017 and has produced a piece there daily since.
His influences are everything from things found on the street to galleries, plus advertising, record covers and the things people say – especially mistakes.
