The new session of the Rehabilitation: Art Therapy programme on 3 June 2023 at 12 pm
03.06.2023 -On 3 June 2023, as part of the new session of the Rehabilitation: Art Therapy programme, the new workshops will be held at the M17 CAC: a workshop in graphics with Viacheslav Snisarenko and a workshop in ceramics, with Khrystyna Holovko.
This is the fourth session of the programme, and we are pleased to share the feedback of Dzvenyslava Novakivska from Hostomel, a participant in the recent workshops:
“Through various artistic techniques during the workshops, we manage to restore the internal peace that is destroyed and broken from the outside: to restore peace in our space, in our minds. Out of devastation, something new is born and sprouts through the creative flow. When there is a place for love and not only aggression, it is much simpler to be “full of life”.
What is important is that psychotherapy is not mixed with creativity, and no obstacles are there for creative flow and self-expression. And the support of the artists is extremely important, as they are encouraging all the way through the creative process, and you rely on their words of praise. Afterwards, the reflection helps to talk through some issues, and what becomes apparent is easier to work through.”
“Rehabilitation: Art Therapy” is an innovative programme of artistic and psychotherapeutic rehabilitation for children and mothers affected by Russian aggression and requiring psychological support. For 4 months, 8 workshops will be held in various art forms: graphics, painting, ceramics and collage. During the sessions, art therapy and art reflection are used as a means of psychological support for the participants.
We invite children and a parent/guardian to join the workshops this Saturday!
