Talking with children about avant-garde art

What is avant-garde art, how did it come about, and who stood behind one of the most significant phenomena in the history of visual art? These and other questions will be addressed during online basic course for children aged 8-12. Throughout it, children, working in a small groups, will learn about the key names and features of avant-guard.
Lecturer: Kateryna Nosko

Kateryna Nosko is an art critic and teacher. She is the author of the course “Talking about art with Kateryna Nosko”, curator of an exhibition project created by children within the annual Arsenal of Ideas education festival (“Portrait / Self-portrait”, 2015, Mystetskiy Arsenal), and coordinator of “Children’s Studies in Contemporary Ukrainian Art” (2014, Mystetskiy Arsenal). Engaged in cultural management, editor-in-chief of IST Publishing for Culture and Art, writes about contemporary art.
