“Ukraїner. The Movie”: Film screening and meeting with the authors
15.12.2019 - 15.12.2019On December the 15th, 2019 at 6:00 PM the screening of the movie “Ukrainer. The Movie” will tale place alongside with a meeting with the director of the film Mykola Nosko and the project’s author Bogdan Logvinenko.
«Ukraïner. The Movie» is the first feature-length film by Ukraïner, made with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Fund.
«Ukraïner. The Movie» is a story about an everyday life of one of the most unknown countries on the European continent. The film tells the stories of heroes from different parts of Ukraine, their life, crafts and art, interesting initiatives and culture. The characters on this tape are not connected, their worlds are different, however, this difference unites the country.

Ukrainer is a volunteer media project that opens up a real, unexpected, interesting and authentic Ukraine through expeditions. More than 300 volunteers have been involved in the creation of the project, and Ukrainer’s materials are available in ten languages.
The first round of Ukrainer expeditions lasted from June 2016 to October 2018 and covered all historical regions except the temporarily occupied territories. The result of these explorations resulted in more than 200 stories published on the pages of ukrainer.net, “Ukraine. Country Inside” and “Ukraïner. Ukrainian Insider”. Now, the Ukrainer team continues to explore the traditions and capture modern history of Ukraine.
The presentation will take place within the exhibition of “Reporting Project of UCF”, which is conducted by the Ukrainian Cultural Fund in cooperation with the M17 Contemporary Art Center.
The exhibition part of the project demonstrates a cross-section of ideas that were executed with UCF in 2019.
The exhibition is open from December the 3rd to January the 19th.
