FUTURESPECTIVE at M17 CAC: Vogue Ukraine opens exhibition of contemporary ukrainian photography

10.07.2025

A large-scale exhibition of contemporary Ukrainian art and fashion photography, FUTURESPECTIVE, is on view at the M17 Contemporary Art Center from July 4 to August 24, 2025.

The exhibition features works by 39 artists – both established creators and emerging talents – including 15 finalists of the open call held by PhotoVogue and Vogue Ukraine FUTURESPECTIVE Open Call.

The presented projects explore themes such as coming of age and youthful hope in times of war, generational rifts, the search for identity, and historical memory.

“What message do we convey through this exhibition? It’s not about futuristic-style photography; first and foremost, it’s about people. The primary goal was to gather and present a circle of photographic artists who shape the present, the culture, and, of course, the future.” Marta Bertman, curator of the FUTURESPECTIVE exhibition project and Creative Director of Vogue Ukraine
