Tillman’s lecture “ccnoa / dac – a shared experience”19.07.2019
Yesterday at Tillman lecture “ccnoa / dac – a shared experience” we heard the story of ups and downs, bureaucratic hurdles and the all-consuming thirst for creativity through which CCNOA (Center for Contemporary Non-Objective Art), Belgium, despite all its difficulties. From 1998 to 2010, he has organized around 350 group and solo exhibitions of abstract art of various styles, and now Tillman, one of the founders of the Center, continues his mission, once a year opening the doors to three artists his own workshop and, in combination, experimental art-simple. ru DAC (Dolceacqua Arte Contemporanea), Italy, and inviting at its own discretion to transform it at material and perceptual levels through site-specific creations.
Is it worth talking about the meanings of subjectless art? And is it possible to talk about the meanings of art that does not correlate with any vocabulary? Tillman gave a brief overview of CCNOA and DAC activities, trying to give the broadest idea of the diversity of abstract art forms as a variety of tools in a set designed to explore the human self, the environment, and the interrelationships that exist between them.
And the same kind of toolkit is now available in M17, at the International project of non-objective art “The Big Circle”.
