Digital Immortality and Digital Monument

On October the 12th, Ukraine-Israel telecast “Digital Immortality and Digital Monument” was hosted by filmmaker Alexander Shapiro and moderated by artist Nezhinsky Serhii.

They talked about digital analgesia and healing from the fear of death with the camera; about immortality as a process that takes place in the midst of a digital cemetery with obelisks – repositories of images; exaltation and perpetuation of the image through the endless process of revising it.
