- “Art of war or rules of caring for a rifle” series
Kupriian Dmytro
The title consists of two parts. The first part, “The Art of War,” refers to a broader perspective on the war in Ukraine, attempting to explain how it is being conducted according to principles that have remained unchanged for centuries, as described in Sun Tzu’s ancient work “The Art of War.” Where you are slow, pretend to be fast, and where you are fast, pretend to be slow. Where you are strong, act as if weak, and where you are weak, act as if strong.
The second part of the title, “Rules of Caring for a Rifle,” focuses on the small, routine actions soldiers must perform daily to contribute to the overall goal of victory. This constant learning and repetition of the same actions, refined into mastery and precision — whether preparing food, training on the range, or simply cleaning weapons — is what brings success.
