Roitburd Oleksandr

Oleksandr Roitburd was born in Odesa in 1961. Soviet and Ukrainian artist, director of Odesa Fine Arts Museum.

In 1983 he graduated from the art and graphic faculty of the Odesa Pedagogical Institute.

In 1993 he co-founded the New Art Association (Odesa). From 1993 he worked as its art director, from 1999 to 2001 – president. He worked as the director of the Marat Gelman Gallery in Kyiv. Participant of the Congress “Ukraine – Russia: Dialogue”, which took place on April 24-25, 2014 in Kyiv. Member of the National Union of Ukrainian Artists since 1989. Member of the Euromaidan.

In 2018 he became the director of Odessa Fine Arts Museum.
