Pankowski Joe
“What is time and how it works is infinitely fascinating to me. To investigate time I make sequences in drawings and paintings. These image sequences can be read as is, stationary key poses of a form changing, but I usually take these images and digitally animate them. Spending time on how to make something look like it is moving, transforming, evolving, really helps you see time. It’s this thing that allows you to walk around something and see it from multiple sides, explain an idea from beginning to end, or really anything else. It takes time to change, to move from this to that.
“Brainstorm” is the abstraction of what a brainstorm could possibly entail. Being creative can take a bit of brainstorming. Could it be part constructive and part destructive to get that spark of inspiration going? The animation contains hand drawn elements, cutouts, and video created by Joe Pankowski and the sound was created by his 6 year old son Quinn”.
