Markaryan Vartan, Dudko Roksolana
The project “Endemics” is a series of video works based on a narrative featuring virtual sculptures of plants and unique spaces (natural and fictional landscapes) created in VR. These are short stories about Ukrainian cities that suffered the most from Russian occupation in 2022. Captured and destroyed, all of them will be liberated and restored.
The “Endemics” collection is dedicated to specific Ukrainian cities that continue to resist the enemy in the midst of war and to cities that have the opportunity to “restore their habitat.” Each flower is a unique story, unparalleled and found nowhere else.
The uniqueness of the project lies in the creation of original artistic content that combines deeply ethnic and contemporary forms of art, representing Ukraine globally and creating a new narrative in the process of promoting Ukrainian culture and art abroad.
Vartan Markarian was born in 1991 in Poltava, Ukraine.
