Congrains Kike
This composition is a metaphorical exploration of the battle for autonomy. Through visual tension and vivid imagery, ‘Fight for Freedom’ takes a deep look at the struggle, inviting contemplation on the fervent fight against oppression. The raw energy harnessed within the collage invites viewers to confront the complexities of agency and oppression.
Enrique “Kike” Congrains is collage artist from Lima, Peru currently located in Barcelona. He has shown his work in exhibitions in Peru, as well as Argentina, Spain, England, Hong Kong, and Norway at the Scandinavian Collage Museum.
He is the curator of CollageWave and founder of Collage Adademy, a platform for collage learning and research. Participated as a speaker in Kolaj Fest 2018 and 2019 in New Orleans. He teaches collage workshops to underprivileged kids and is currently writing a book on Latin American collage.
