Born in 1995 in Kolomyia, Ukraine, Nazar Furyk studied architecture and design at the Kyiv College of Architecture, Construction and Management, and later engineering at Šiauliai State University in Lithuania.
He began his career as a photojournalist working for Ukrainian and international agencies, including Ukrainian News and Zuma Press. His practice blends still life, urban landscapes, and nature – notably in the Edited series (2018–2020), which explores everyday objects in their environmental context.
He debuted with the Graduation Album project in 2017 (featured in Bird in Flight), capturing the provincial youth’s daily life.
He currently develops the Landmark series, documenting the transformation of the Kyiv region amid war. A participant in solo and group exhibitions across Ukraine, the UK, Latvia, Korea, and Poland, he lives and works in Kyiv.
