Born in 1991 in Luhansk Oblast.
The photographer grew up in Donbas, between the rough industrial city of Yenakijeve and the quiet rural town of Novoaidar, where his grandparents lived and where his mother often sent him and his sister to shield them from the harsher realities of the city. There, spending time herding goats and exploring nature along the Aidar River, Lesha developed a connection to the natural world and an appreciation for solitude — qualities that have shaped his photographic sensibility.
His work shows a strong sense of atmosphere and an intuitive feel for the emotional tone of a moment or place. His photographs have appeared in i-D Magazine, ZEIT Magazin, Monocle, Le Monde, Dazed, Republik, and Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin. He is also known for documenting rave culture in Ukraine.
