The pot plant is part of the interior, a ‘hybrid space for work and life’ created by the artist, modelled within his own house in Long Island. Matching the elements of the past, present and future, inspired by a practical need to furnish his own home, designed by Norman Jaffe exactly 60 years ago, Arsham created his own Universe.

“Jaffe was a Mid-century modern architect, but he built most of his properties in wood and stone and, in my opinion, worked with space, light and landscape in an unusually subtle way. When I bought this house, I decided to restore it and combine architecture with design,” ~ D. Arsham.
