Anastasiadou Marianeli
His terrace had a beautiful view at Mount Lycabettus. Day unknown of the second Covid Lockdown. He shouldn’t complain. They said to stay inside, for their own good. At least he had the terrace.
“I started practicing collage, as a form of therapy, in 2020. I use collage as a language to communicate different stimuli that interest me as an individual. I strongly believe collage to be one of the most “democratic” and powerful art forms, able to voice bold messages, ideas and deeper feelings. The very essence of our conscience is a “collage” of images and symbols, so “shuffling” these “cards” could lead to an interesting outcome at times.”
“I am a self-taught collage artist, with a degree in History, Archaeology & History of Art, currently based in Kavala, Greece. I started practicing collage, as a form of therapy, during the first Covid Lockdown, in 2020.
Until today, I have participated in four different international group exhibitions, in Greece and abroad. In the summer of 2022 I had my first solo open-air exhibition in the context of Cosmopolis Festival in Kavala, Greece, under the title “Anima Urbis”, featuring old archival photographs.”
