Sanchez Mercedes

Mercedes Sanchez’s work is based on listening. Mercedes observes, listens and analyzes all the conversations she has with people, with you, with me, with everyone, she develops micro spaces that contain ideas that only the viewer understands if they have had that conversation with her. She provokes and produces sensations and feelings in each viewer who is identified at one time and another as she understands the reading of the work.

It is analytical, sometimes social criticism, it is someone who reads your thought. The work speaks of this duality or double standard between faith, belief and the arbitrary, the irreverent, confusing faith between desire and the miracle between what is feasible. For example, asking for a soccer goal, asking you to win the lottery, against having faith for someone’s health or doing good for someone.
