Olia Koval is a photographic artist from Chernihiv, currently based in Kyiv.
She began photographing in 2018 while studying cinematography at Kyiv National University of Theatre, Cinema and Television (Karpenko-Kary). In 2019, she joined the MYPH School under Serhiy Melnychenko and completed a course in conceptual photography in 2020.
Olia was selected for MYPH PRIZE 2024, was a finalist in the IWPA competition (2024), and won the Fresh Eyes Award in 2023. Her Non‑violent Changes series (2019–2020) and the work Stone—acquired by the Odesa Fine Arts Museum—reflect her nuanced visual exploration.
