Born in 1999 in Nikopol, Ukraine.

He grew up loving photography and began pursuing it seriously after 2017. His debut photographic project, 13th January (2021), centers on Malanka, the Ukrainian folk celebration in Bukovina, capturing its vibrant costumes, masks, and ritual performances.

The photobook was published in 2023 by AYVAN (London/Paris). A self-taught artist, Kotliar explores folklore, collective memory, and local traditions, blending school-album aesthetics with street and ethnographic photography. His work was exhibited at Sheriff Gallery in Paris.
