“We choose to be free, and at the same we are chosen too – by time. A swallow flies from page to page of a used calendar (a first reminder of the fleeting of time and the illusion of choice). The flight symbolizes freedom, and its dynamic reminds us of time that terminates our freedom.

And yet the search goes on… the search for freedom. We do not have that much time, only a moment, so let’s live it, so as not to find but to search. Search for freedom.

I am hugely inspired by people, they are my theme and my stimuli to grow, both artistically and personally. In my works, I try to capture people’s states of mind and moods. Another theme for me is the image of a woman. Nature, tamed by a caring and precise human hand, is a great source of inspiration for me too, specifically a landscape that speaks of human’s presence. However, it is a human being that I center my art around. Human beings and their feelings are focal points in my art.”
