Anya Tsaruk is a Ukrainian photographer living and working in Berlin. Her work explores themes of identity, trauma, forced migration, and the formation of new communities during wartime. Her project Mother Land (2022) documents her mother’s evacuation to Berlin and the shifting bonds between mothers and daughters in the context of displacement.

Tsaruk studied photography at the Neue Schule für Fotografie (2021–2022) and is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie.

She has been featured in Paris Photo: Carte Blanche Students, Fotografia Europea, Skinnerboox Book Award, and shortlisted for the Parasol Foundation Prize for Women in Photography (V&A). Her work has been exhibited in Hannover, Paris, Vilnius, Arles (Les Rencontres d’Arles), and at Berlin Gallery Weekend.
