About the artwork

Rejecting representation as the primary purpose of painting, Tiberiy Szilvashi, works with color, rhythm, light, and space as autonomous categories. His paintings do not depict a specific image or narrative; instead, they create a distinctive perceptual state in which color acquires an almost tangible presence.

A central aspect of Szilvashi’s artistic practice is the search for connections between abstraction, spiritual experience, and cultural tradition. In his works, color ceases to function merely as a formal element and becomes an environment—a contemplative space where the viewer encounters not an image, but the very act of seeing.
