Dziuba Radyslav
“The Sixth Extinction project is inspired by Elizabeth Colbert’s The Sixth Extinction. “The Sixth Extinction” is an artistic response to the challenges of the modern man-made world, a call to reflect on our place in the world and our relationship to the environment.
These are not just images – they are silent cries that symbolise the tricks of time and negligence towards nature. My work is a modern elegy that reminds viewers that our existence is closely connected to the earth. The complete project consists of: beehive frames covered with layers of paper as a symbol of time and experience (approx. 15 pieces), old globes as symbols of the planet (approx. 12 pieces), two paper tablets (207 x 82 cm, 2 pieces).”
