Artem Andreichuk
The artwork from the series “Shelter” documents the transformation of space and its meanings within collective memory. A fragment of the Polytechnic Institute metro station, which before the war was part of everyday urban movement, in the reality of war becomes a place of shelter, safety, and waiting.
The inscription of a picture functions as a fragment of an address — like a broken signal of presence that cannot be fully archived or digitized.
Artem Andreichuk (b. 1983) is a Ukrainian artist who lives and works in Kyiv.
