“Archeology of the present – is the study of everything that is around us, and now, unfortunately, we are often opened by the terrible sights that the Russians leave behind. In the first place, for me, it is an analysis of contemporary conflicts and giving them social value. The leitmotif of my work now is the war in Ukraine and the study of the war is an integral element in exposing events. Observation and analysis of battlefields helps to show the truth and protect people susceptible to propaganda factors.
Highlighting real events, raising topics about inequality and injustice are the main tasks that interest me as an artist. In my work, I refer to personal experience and show the mood that accompanies me in a certain period of time.
Many years ago, she discovered the work of the Ukrainian artist Malevich, and from that moment on, she dreamed of creating her own “Black Square” – the work of a lifetime. Now I’m looking for myself in different directions, experimenting a lot with the techniques I use in painting, graphics and mosaics. The goal is to detach one’s art from reality as we know it and devote oneself completely to “objectless” art, and may even start a new artistic movement.
With the beginning of a full-scale war, the whole perception of the world, in particular art, changed. From lowered hands and reluctance to create to an understanding of how important art is right now and how it can be used to contribute to the future victory. With my paintings and illustrations, I try to give the war in Ukraine the greatest publicity abroad”.
The artist graduated from the College of Culture and Arts in Mykolaiv and continues her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw at the Faculty of Painting.
Through paintings, the artist shows her personal experience and attempts to picture moods that accompany her in the moment of creation. She admits that among her most favorite genres lie su- prematism and dadaism. Her beloved artist, Kazimir Malevich, is the one that painted “Black Square’’ – an art piece which became his everything, his own reality. Her dream is to follow that direction, creating a work better than ever. A masterpiece.
As for now, she experiments with various styles in searching for her own, unique one. The idea that lies behind it is to break away from reality around and devoting fully to abstraction, exploring the possibility of inventing a new artistic movement.
