Dom Marker was born in Kharkiv in 1990 and emigrated to New York with his parents at age three.
He works across photography, video, text, and installation, blending documentary practice with conceptual art and community activism. After returning to Ukraine in early 2022, he volunteered on humanitarian missions at the front lines.
His projects—such as Mother’s Day (Kramatorsk, 2023) and a Polaroid series from Saltivka—document war through alternative analog methods. His work has been exhibited in the U.S. and Europe (CLB Berlin, OPR Milan), with accolades including an Independent Photo award at NYC Pride Parade (2021) and a Creator Labs / Aperture grant (2024).
