AR is a technology that will change visual communication forever. Alexander Surnin.09.11.2019 - 09.11.2019
How and why do people use social media? Or, to put it simply, why do we post? There are many answer options to this question: someone is trying to construct their identity, someone is seeking to enhance their social / political / etc. visibility, someone is dreaming about eternal life online due to technology etc. But the fact is that in the 21st century, a large number of people made a tremendous effort to become part of the art world for one reason or another. In particular, through self-practice.
Why do we find it necessary to talk about AR? Augmented reality, often used on social networks, is what blurs the boundaries between reality and the realm of digital art. Today, social networks had become the leaders of the latest global trends in visual art and were given the power to draw thousands of people’s attention to simple and complex ideas. In these circumstances, we need to understand how the involvement of the AR technologies we face every day changes the very concept of perceiving beauty.
About this will talk Alexander Surnin on Saturday, November the 9th, at 18:00.
Alexander Surnin is a co-founder of Areyes Studio, ZD-artist and generalist who worked on projects of such companies as Google, Ubisoft, Wargaming, Gearbox, EA Games.
