Artist Talk with the artist Aljoscha and Natalia Shpytkovska was held at M17

On 26 July, M17 CAC (Kyiv, Ukraine) hosted an Artist Talk with Aljoscha, whose work ‘Paradise Engineering’ is presented at the exhibition ‘Gardens of Dreams’.

“Bioism is the creation of new visual forms that could potentially be living organisms, the generation of a new organic aesthetic. It’s not about redesigning what we have, it’s about inventing entirely new kinds of life.” ~ Aljoscha

“I am still working on the concept I called ‘bioism’. It is an ongoing process, just as I am a process. As long as I am here, working, “flowing” in this world, I am refining, improving, developing it.” ~ Aljoscha

“I consider art to be one of the highest human activities. For me, it is a philosophy, maybe even a religion. In a sense, I am trying to create an aesthetic utopia.” ~ Aljoscha
