Drobot Maria
“The painting is part of a large series about space. Space for me is a space of emptiness and silence. It doesn’t belong to any one person or culture, and since the galaxy is huge and largely unexplored, it feels like a place where everything is equally foreign and possible. The dark side of the moon is not visible to us, so it’s a playground for imagination and fantasy, and I like to think of scenarios that could happen there.”
Maria Drobot was born in 1996 in Kyiv.
She is a multidisciplinary figurative artist. The main theme of her practice is the study of the function of everyday religious art and the desire to build a personal iconography.
