Steel Flowers of Hope, series During the War
Steel Flowers of Hope, series During the War 2022 Chamotte clay, glazes, oxides, hand-built 27×23×34 cm
About the artwork

The present life of Ukrainians consists of seemingly incompatible elements: constant anxiety, fear, uncertainty, adaptation, love, hope, support, leisure, work, suffering, happiness, and longing. Our emotions and experiences can shift every second. This instability creates an overall sense of fragmentation and disorientation. Yet, we strive to remain balanced, maintaining some harmony and equilibrium. We know that victory and a peaceful, better future await us. We nurture within ourselves steel flowers of hope. One day, they will bloom, weaving together our broken hearts and homes.
