Budnikova Anastasiia
Imagination opens up limitless possibilities for experimenting with different scenarios, especially in times of war, when reality often proves to be harsh. In quiet conversations with oneself, promises can be made and irresponsibly broken. This is an enthralling yet dangerous process, as it can distance us from the real experiences and challenges that life in conflict brings.
Anastasiia Budnikova is a visual artist and graphic designer, born in Kyiv in 1979.
She graduated from the State Art High School named after Taras Shevchenko and the National Academy of Fine Art and Architecture in Kyiv, where she studied from 1990 to 2004. In 2022, she was a participant in the artistic residency of the East of Art Foundation in Krakow.
Budnikova works in the fields of graphics, painting, and video art. Her works are held in private collections in Ukraine, Germany, and the United States. She is an active participant in numerous exhibitions and art projects in Ukraine and beyond.
